  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Fresh off a win over Inter Miami in the Leagues Cup finals, Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan has been added to the U.S. men's national team roster for their upcoming friendlies against South Korea and Japan.

  Roldan, 30, has 37 caps with the USMNT and adds versatility to Mauricio Pochettino's squad as he can play across the midfield. On the season, he has eight assists and one goal in 26 league appearances for .

  THE BIGGER PICTURE

  Pochettino continues to show his appreciation of MLS by calling players from the league. Roldan is now the 13th MLS player on this current roster. With his start in the Leagues Cup final on Sunday, Roldan became the first Sounder to make 350 career starts in all competitions.
